The trail across the street to the Lincoln Mountain State Forest is not yet completed, so the first mile or so is tough, but it is being actively worked on and I expect great things.
The hike around the small lake is about 2 miles although you can extend the hike on other connecting trails. The trail is pretty flat and there are a couple of good spots for picnicking.
This is my absolute favorite way to hike Moreau. There are two trail. The one over Lake Ann is relatively flat all the way to the overlook overlooking Moreau Lake, and the waterfall trail joins the trail from Spier Falls pretty early, so a very nice loop is possible.
